“However, I will leave a remnant, for you will have those who escaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the countries.
Ezekiel 6:8 NASB
Since the beginning of God’s plan, He has always been faithful to lead a remnant of people away from the current culture and society in order to fulfill His ultimate plan. We see this in both the OT and NT. Though people backslide and evil triumphs for a time, God does not allow our decisions to thwart His overwhelming grace. This is the Good News of the Gospel.
The fact is, Israel failed. Judah failed. We fail. However, God has historically used small groups of faithful followers to inspire faith and hope among nations. He did it with the remnant in the OT. He did it with the disciples and apostles in the NT. The faithfulness of God to His people is incredible.
Are you one of the people who has been preserved by the grace of God? Are you one who has been led to repentance and called to obedience?
